Jerry Martin

Jerry Martin has been creating Shaker boxes since 2003, employing the same methods used by the Shakers over 150 years ago.  Martin was inspired after reading an article written by box maker John Wilson, which soon led him to take a class at the Shaker Village in New Gloucester, Maine. Martin gets involved in every aspect of box making including making his own forms and swallowtail (finger) patterns,  cutting his own bands from rough lumber and then continuing through all the steps to an oil-rubbed finished piece. Martin has an assortment of boxes and carriers that are an accurate representation of the originals. You can be assured that these hand-made heirloom quality products will make you and your lucky recipients very happy.
