David & Bekah Clark

The company name, “Tote Road,” originated from a Maine term used to describe an overgrown dirt road or old logging path. For David Clark, the term characterizes his lifelong love of nature that began through childhood adventures in the woods, mountains, and along the shores.  He has long enjoyed the weight of wood in his hands and the sweet fragrance of sawdust in the air and has found himself fascinated with the tools and techniques of the trade. Today, he seeks to use the medium of wood to share with others his love for the outdoors. All of his solid wood pieces are shaped and sanded by hand. His wife, Bekah, finds joy in the opportunity to work alongside her husband as she adds each hand-painted detail.
