Marian Jordan Fretz

The Charlotte’s Daughter line was started at the turn of this century when it became apparent to Fretz that there was a need for well-designed jewelry at an affordable price. Gold and fine gemstones had been the staple of her business since 1970. The economy and peoples’ lifestyles were fast changing, and to her the vibrant colors of the glass combined with silver were every bit as beautiful as a rare gemstone set in gold.
Her initial inspiration came from a visit to the Abbey Museum in Bar Harbor where there is a large collection of ancient "Killicks", or anchors and weights. The name came from her mother, Charlotte.
Charlotte's Daughter specializes in what Fretz likes to call "Farm Raised" sea glass jewelry. This is achieved by using color coordinated recycled rough glass and giving it a tumble finish that is very smooth and silky to the touch. All of her designs incorporate either Argentium sterling silver or 925 sterling.

Lisa-Marie’s carries the Charlotte’s Daughter Killick Collection, the Plummet Collection, and the Cluster Collection.
