Joanna Skolfield

Joanna Skolfield grew up in Falmouth and spent long summer days at the beach playing in tidal pools, digging for clams, and jumping off the dock. Much of her inspiration comes from these memories. Her pieces are her own designs and are individually hand crafted high-fire stoneware glazed with food-friendly glazes. As well as the sea coast being an inspiration, her Irish heritage inspires her work. Her passion for Ireland, its people, its colorful and wild landscapes, Celtic symbolism and folklore all find voice in her designs, glazes, and color combinations.
